EDITORIAL POLICY

Context first. Claims second.

Our standard for a useful story is simple: a reader should be able to see what is cultural context, what is a practical suggestion, and what requires another source of expertise.

Sources

We prioritize primary and official sources such as Korea's public cultural and tourism bodies, regulators, and the original organization behind a programme or product category. Claim-linked records appear beside the relevant paragraph, and the complete record list appears at the end of each story.

Evidence and editorial records

Every story discloses its reporting type, editorial review date, firsthand scope, original editorial contribution, checked facts, and the details a reader must verify directly. Video and community discussions may inform internal topic research, but we do not publish their links, embeds, captions, or claims. Published facts are re-established from primary records.

Publication and review dates

An editorial review date records work on the article and its evidence note. It is not a publication date. We add a publication date only after the canonical public page has been verified live, and we add a modification date only after a material post-publication change.

Corrections

If a source changes or a factual error is identified, we correct the passage and describe the material change in its editorial record. Email contact@k1owup.com with a specific page, passage, and source.

Health and beauty boundaries

Cosmetic practices and foods are discussed as products and cultural practices. They are not presented as treatment, prevention, diagnosis, or a substitute for professional care. We avoid weight-loss promises and before-and-after framing.

Commercial independence

This site may be eligible for advertising after independent platform review. Advertising eligibility does not change editorial conclusions. We do not sell placement inside a story as an editorial recommendation.

Any partner-supported magazine project must identify the funder and preserve K1OWUP's control of sources, wording, corrections, and conclusions. A fee cannot buy a positive verdict, ranking, source omission, backlink, or publication. Commissioned research or content created for a client-owned channel is scoped separately and is not represented as independent magazine editorial.
